Regional Managing Director of CBRE Greater Bay Area & Hong Kong
Tom Gaffney is regional managing director, The Greater Bay Area & Hong Kong at CBRE, with responsibility for all of CBRE’s business activities in those territories. Mr Gaffney is also a member of CBRE’s Greater China Executive Committee, which shapes and drives the strategy for the region. He has more than 17 years of industry experience and has held a variety of roles in leasing, asset management and investments. Mr Gaffney joined CBRE in 2016 as managing director for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. He crossed from JLL where he held the position of head of retail, Hong Kong and China and was a member of its Global Retail Board and co-chairman of Retail for Asia Pacific. Prior to that, he worked for Hongkong Land in Commercial and Retail Asset Management, holding positions in Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand. Outside of CBRE, Mr Gaffney is an executive committee member of ULI – Hong Kong, member of Young Presidents’ Organization, the RICS Diversity & Inclusion Committee, and Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce Real Estate and Infrastructure Committee. He is based in Hong Kong.
