About This Session

Academic and cultural exchanges have flourished between the US and China for decades. Today, however, visas are increasingly being denied from both countries to students and scholars. What would it mean for future generations if cultural exchanges between the two countries were significantly decreased? Are visa denials simply a side effect of a geopolitical tug-of-war, or is there actually a threat serious enough for them to be warranted? Why should US-China relations matter to younger generations?
